Cross-country skier Lampič third in World Cup in Davos
Davos – Slovenian cross-country skier Anamarija Lampič finished third in the women’s World Cup freestyle sprint event is Davos, Switzerland on Saturday to earn her first podium finish in the current season, as Maja Dahlqvist of Sweden scored her third win.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: Lampič and Urevc third in team event in Oberstdorf
Oberstdorf – Cross-country skiers Anamarija Lampič and Eva Urevc won bronze in the women’s team event at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, Germany, on Sunday. The pair fell short of gold by 3.46 seconds. Sweden’s Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling won the race.
Second place went to Switzerland’s Nadine Fähndrich and Laurien van der Graaff.
Victory for Slovenia in women’s Cross Country World Cup team sprint
Stockholm – Slovenian cross-country skiers Eva Urevc and Anamarija Lampič won the women’s World Cup team sprint event in Ulricehamn, in Sweden on Sunday in their biggest feat ever after finishing third in the same discipline in Dresden in December.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: Lampič second in sprint
After clocking the fastest time in her group in qualifications, she was the fastest in her group in the quarter finals and second in her group in the semi finals.
In the final run, Lampič finished 0.21 seconds slower than the winner, Swede Linn Svahn. Swede Maja Dahlqvist took third place, lagging only 0.5 seconds behind Lampič.

Nordic Worlds: Slovenia's women team win silver in sprint
The Slovenian team finished 37 hundredths of a second ahead of the champions Stina Nillson and Maja Dahlqvist of Sweden. Bronze went to Norway's Ingvild Flugstad Oestbergin and Maiken Caspersen Fala (+0.60).
"This is absolutely crazy, we finally did it," Lampič, 23, said in her first comment for the Slovenian public broadcaster TV Slovenija.
