Albania's opposition Democratic Party has filed a request for a parliament's investigative committee on Thursday, after Prime Minister Edi Rama dismissed claims that his government bribed a former FBI official to push for FBI investigations into matters that damaged the Albanian opposition.

A former high-ranking FBI counterintelligence official who investigated Russian oligarchs has been indicted on charges he secretly worked for one, in violation of U.S. sanctions. The official was also charged, in a separate indictment, with taking cash from a former foreign security officer.

Montenegro's Economy Ministry said on Wednesday that the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce rejected the case for compensation brought by Oleg Deripaska, owner of the Central European Aluminium Company, CEAC.

Montenegrin website editor Gojko Raicevic was released on Wednesday after being summoned for a police interview for publishing recordings of the telephone conversations of a former ambassador to Russia, Milan Rocen.

Ukraine has put Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska, whose company Rusal owns a large alumina plant in the country, and other prominent Russians on an expanded sanctions list, a document on the president's website showed on May 24.

American consultant Paul Manafort has said that he was hired by the Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska, former owner of Montenegro's KAP aluminum plant and one of the largest investors in the country,  to support Montenegro's independence referendum in 2006 - but Deripaska declined to respond to BIRN's inquiry about the claim.

Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska, owner of the Central European Aluminum Company, CEAC, is suing Montenegro for "hundreds of millions of euros" over the failure of its plant in the capital, Podgorica, the firm said on Wednesday.

The management of Porto Montenegro and the Investment Corporation of Dubai, ICD, which is controlled by the Emirati government, are expected to officially announce the unexpected sale of the superyacht marina on Friday.

Adriatic Marines, which manages the marina, would not comment on the sale, which has been widely rumoured over the past two days in the Montenegrin media.
