Fifth provincial head resigns from ruling AKP after Erdoğan warns of 'fatigue'
The ruling Justice and Development Party's (AKP) provincial head in the Central Anatolian province of Aksaray, Abdulkadir Karatay, joined recent resignations from the party, following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's warning against "fatigue" within the AKP.
In a written statement on Aug. 18, Karatay said he would not run for the post again.
Turkey's Erdogan Calls German Leaders 'Enemies'
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called Germany's ruling politicians "enemies of Turkey" who deserve to be rejected by German-Turkish voters.
Germany will hold a general election on 24 September, and about one million ethnic Turks living in Germany can vote. A majority of them backed Mr Erdogan in an April referendum.

PM Yıldırım says Turkey not aching for Customs Union update
Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said on Aug. 18 that Ankara was not pushing for an update of the Customs Union amid an ongoing debate over recent remarks by German Chancellor Angela Merkel suggesting Berlin would not pursue an update of the agreement.
Russian minister calls Turkey 'crucial' trade partner
Ankara is a "crucial" trade partner for Moscow, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Aug. 18.
"Multidimensional cooperation of our countries is developing," Novak said, as quoted by state-run Anadolu Agency.

The Fethiye Mosque (Gr.: Φετιχιέ τζαμί) is located in Athens right under the Acropolis. After being used a storage for local ancient artifacts and fragments, it was decided by the Greek Ministry of Culture back in 2010 that it should be renovated and to be used for various cultural activities and of course be open to visitors.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will soon arrive in Serbia.
Vucic spoke as he was visiting the town of Vladicin Han in the south.

Turkey strongly condemns Barcelona terror attack
Turkey has strongly condemned the terror attack in central Barcelona that left at least 13 people dead and dozens of others injured on Aug. 17.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan offered condolences to the Spanish king on Aug. 17 following the attack.
