Bosnian Fighter ‘Innocent’ of Sarajevo Siege Charges, Says Lawyer
Defence lawyer Senad Dupovac told the Bosnian state court in his closing statement on Friday that numerous witnesses at the trial of Senad Dzananovic and Edin Gadzo had given contradictory statements, and called for an acquittal.
Court Urged to Convict Bosnian Army Ex-Soldiers of Rape
Prosecutor Marijana Cobovic told the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Wednesday that it had been proved during the retrial that Samir Kesmer and Mirsad Menzilovic raped an underage girl in Sarajevo in May 1993.
"The injured party said at the main trial that she had been raped multiple times by the defendants," Cobovic said.

Mujic's sentence was reduced by the amount of time he had already spent in custody and he paid a further 26,000 Bosnian marks (over 13,000 euros) to avoid serving any more jail time, his lawyer told BIRN on Monday.
