Within the scope of a joint project of by the General Directorate of State Theaters (DT) and the Greek Piraeus City Theater, British writer William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" will be staged in Athens after Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir.

First lecture given on metaverse at Yıldız Technical University
Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) has become the first university to provide education on the metaverse in its virtual world, "Starverse."
The virtual reality supported metaverse platform "YTÜ Starverse" was developed by faculty members and students at the university.
Country’s 7th largest lake disappearing fast
Two photographs, one taken in 2018 and the other this year, of Lake Burdur, have shown how Türkiye's seventh largest lake is disappearing.
The lake came to the country's agenda when, in 2018, photographer Tamer Yılmaz shot an aerial photo of two streams leaking from small puddles in the dying areas of the lake.

Turkey bags 18 medals at World Weightlifting Championships
Turkey won 18 medals at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships, the Turkish Weightlifting Federation (TWF) confirmed May 31.
Competing in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the Turkish athletes, including 10 men and 11 women, claimed six gold, six silver and six bronze medals in the tournament.
