Again Thousands Protested in Belgrade
In Belgrade, another protest was held on 20th April under the slogan "One in five million - all in one", where the expert negotiating team with the government was presented. Then a procession of thousands of citizens from the Thezazian fountain was held with the motto "Against Electoral Fraud".

Serbia's Free Media Advocates Submit Requests to PM
Members of the "For Media Freedom" organisation were due on Tuesday to meet Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and submit a list of requests and complaints about what they call the worsening situation of the free media sector in the country.
New Media Freedom Campaign Launched in Serbia
Serbian journalists and activists who protested recently over what they called the worsening situation of the free media will meet in Belgrade on Thursday to coordinate a new campaign in defence of media freedom in the country.
The official Facebook group "For Media Freedom" said all the participants at the meeting will sign a "Freedom of the Media Declaration".

Serbian Media Stage Blackout in Defence of Freedom
About 150 Serbian websites and NGOs have agreed to join a "blackout" campaign on Thursday, called "Stop media darkness", to protest over what they called the worsening situation of the free media in the country.

Serbia Constitutional Court Petitioned Over Threats Against Journalists
The group signing the appeal outside the court building in Belgrade on September 27 included three journalists: Antonela Riha, Tamara Skrozza, and Vukasin Obradovic; two actors: Branislav Trifunovic and Sergej Trifunovic; and nongovernmental activist Ilir Gasi.

The EU press service has reminded would-be-member Serbia that freedom of expression is an important value of the European club - and that Serbia's respect for it will be examined closely during its accession process.

Serbian Newspaper Owner Goes on Hunger Strike
Vukasin Obradovic, who started Vranjske novine, a respected independent weekly newspaper in the southern Serbian town of Vranje, announced on Tuesday that he was going on hunger strike in protest over his title's shutdown and the decline of media freedom in the country.

Vranje-based weekly closes, founder starts hunger strike
The founder of the Vranjske weekly, that was closed on Monday, and former NUNS President Vukasin Obradovic has begun a hunger strike.
Beta is reporting on Tuesday that he has done this "to draw attention to the pointlessness of the fight for media freedom."
Serbian Cartoonist's Sacking 'Reveals Govt's Ties to Media'
Serbian daily newspaper Politika has vowed to reinstate its sacked caricaturist, Dusan Petricic, after the Prime Minister advised it not to sack him.
Petricic told BIRN he had not been notified of the decision, however. "Since the acting editor-in-chief of Politika, Zarko Rakic, notified me about the cancellation of our collaboration, I have had no contact with management," he said.
