Djordjevic, Chepurin: Level of bilateral relations high
BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic and Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Chepurin on Tuesday agreed there was a continuity of substantial defence cooperation that fully reflected the strategic partnership and the achieved level of general and political relations between the two friendly countries.

BELGRADE - The Serbian ministries of defence and interior have signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters to buy nine Airbus H145M helicopters, the Defence Ministry said in a statement Thursday.

Djordjevic: Overhaul, upgrade of Russian jets to cost 185 mln euros
BELGRADE - The overhaul and upgrade of the six MiG-29 fighter jets donated to Serbia by Russia will cost 185 mln euros, and they could start flying at the end of 2017, Serbian Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic said Friday.
If the overhaul is carried out at the Moma Stanojlovic Aviation Institute, this could happen sooner, Djordjevic told a press conference.

Vucic to meet with Shoygu Wednesday to discuss purchase of MiGs
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic will be on a one-day visit to Moscow on Wednesday to meet with Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu.
Vucic and Shoygu will finalise agreements on Serbia's purchase of modern fighter planes and discuss all other aspects of military economic and military education cooperation, Vucic's office announced.

BELGRADE - Russian FM Sergey Lavrov's upcoming visit to Belgrade will be an opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin concluded at a meeting Wednesday.
Vucic and Chepurin discussed all significant matters in Serbian-Russian relations, the Serbian government said in a statement.
