A stolen marble piece from Ancient Olympia was returned from Germany
A fragment of a marble pipeline, which had been detached from the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia and illegally exported from Greece, was repatriated from Germany. The ancient object was delivered by a German citizen to the offices of the Greek Embassy in Berlin.

Despite Greece's protracted financial crisis, the capital's southern coast has been undergoing a facelift, albeit a slow one, with an estimated 10 billion euros' worth of works that could transform the Athens Riviera into one of the most attractive metropolitan seafront areas in the Mediterranean.

Relatives, friends and fans will bid a final farewell to Greek actress Zoe Laskari today, whose funeral services are scheduled to take place at the Cathedral of Saint Dionysius the Areopagite in Kolonaki at 1pm.
Ferry traffic up as holidaymakers start returning
The three ports serving the Greek capital - Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio - saw a continued increase in traffic on Monday as holidaymakers started returning to Athens, authorities said.

Zoe Laskari funeral to be held Tuesday in Athens
The funeral of iconic Greek actress Zoe Laskari, who died on Friday at the age of 73, will be held in Athens on Tuesday. The service will be held at the Church of Aghios Dionysios and the burial will take place at the First Cemetery of Athens. Laskari was best known for her stellar performances in Greek films of the late 1960s.

Athenian monument opens to public after restoration
A view of the archaeological site of the Roma Agora in central Athens where restoration work was completed last week on the 17th century Fethiye Mosque. The building is now accessible to the public. It was built around 1670 on the ruins of a Christian basilica dating to the 8th or 9th century and was considered an important architectural monument.
