The National Palace of Culture (NDK), in Sofia will be lit in the colour blue on the evening of 20 June to mark World Refugee Day. The initiative is part of UNHCR's, the UN Refugee Agency, marking of the international day to honour people who have been forced to flee.

If tens of dead and hundreds of missing people off the Greek coast do not unite us even briefly, if we cannot hold a serious discussion on all the dimensions of mass migration, then we are in danger of losing all hope of agreement among ourselves.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) issued a joint statement on Friday calling for "urgent and decisive action to prevent further deaths at sea following the latest tragedy in the Mediterranean, the worst in several years," the organizations pointed out.

"The administration of (Joseph) Biden, after several weeks of internal discussions on how to equip the Abrams tanks that the US supplies to Kyiv, is expected to provide Ukraine with shells with depleted uranium," the text states.

Insecurity, poor infrastructure and isolation are taking a toll on the will to learn of youngsters at refugee camps, according to educators.

Speaking at a job fair in Thessaloniki organized to connect refugees and employers, sociologist Mary Asvesta of Solidarity Now said refugees often take on hard and difficult jobs.

In the announcement of the Russian Embassy in London, the statement of the Deputy British Defense Minister James Heappey about sending weapons with depleted uranium to Ukraine is recalled. According to the embassy, Heappey's words show the ruthless policy of the Anglo-Saxons on the general escalation of the "conflict through intermediaries" that they initiated in Ukraine.

Lavrov said at a press conference in New York that some say that depleted uranium is not radioactive and that it is not included in the lists of the International Atomic Energy Agency, but that there are facts and interviews with people who suffered from the consequences of such missile attacks in the former Yugoslavia, in time of NATO bombing.
