Iniochos 2023 air force drill starting on Monday
The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) begins its annual medium-scale exercise Iniochos out of the Andravida Air Base in the Northwest Peloponnese on Monday.
The multinational exercise runs until May 4 and will include the participation of the air forces of Cyprus, France, India, Italy, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain and the United States.

Menendez reiterates opposition to sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey
The chairperson of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations has reiterated his opposition to the sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey, saying "Turkey has not done enough to be rewarded in this way."
"I continue to be against the sale of F-16s," Senator Bob Menendez told state broadcaster ERT, adding that the Erdogan government needs to stop its belligerent behavior towards Greece.

Menendez: Turkey must ‘end belligerence’ toward Greece to get F-16s
US Senator Robert Menedez (D-NJ), the powerful chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, says that Turkey should not get new F-16 fighter planes and upgrade kits until they "end their belligerence" towards Greece, news site Politico reports.
US approves sale of F-16 upgrade kit to Türkiye
The U.S. agreed Monday to sell Türkiye $259 million in software it has long sought to upgrade its fleet of U.S. F-16 fighter jets. State Department approval of the sale comes about two weeks after Türkiye dropped its objections to Finland joining NATO.

State Department OKs parts upgrade for Turkey’s F-16s, seeks Congress approval
The US Department of State announced Saturday it has decided to approve a small modernization package for Turkey's existing F-16 fleet.
