Turkey only aims to protect its rights: President Erdoğan
Turkey is only aiming to protect its rights and territories and does not have any other ulterior motives, said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 6.
Attending the Blue Homeland 2021 tactical exercise via video link, Erdoğan said Turkey is testing its "domestic and national" weapon systems.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke over the phone with his Venezuelan counterpart to discuss steps to boost bilateral ties, Turkey's Communications Directorate said on Aug. 14.
Erdoğan and Nicolas Maduro also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and solidarity, as well as regional developments, according to the directorate.

Erdoğan says pandemic greatest crisis since World War II
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said the novel coronavirus pandemic is the biggest global crisis since World War II.
"This pandemic, which is basically a health problem, has become the biggest crisis after World War II in terms of its economic results," Erdoğan said, speaking to his party's Central Execution Board meeting via teleconference.
Istanbul hospital to open on April 20
Turkey's president on April 2 announced that the first phase of a hospital complex in Istanbul will start operating on April 20.
"We are opening the first phase of İkitelli City Hospital, which has 2,682 beds, on April 20," Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Twitter.
"We will complete our other hospitals quickly and put them into the service of our nation."

Turkish, Canadian leaders hold phone talk
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a phone conversation on Jan. 22.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
During the Cold War, political relations between Turkey and Canada evolved mainly around military and security cooperation within NATO.

Italian premier due to visit Turkey on Jan 13
Italy's Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Jan. 13 will pay a working visit to Turkey on the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In a statement, the Turkish Communications Directorate said the two leaders will discuss bilateral relations and steps that can be taken to improve cooperation between the two countries.
