President Basescu: NATO aircraft to be in Romania air space; we can take part in Ukraine cyber defence

The presence of NATO fighter aircraft in the territory of Romania and the country's possible participation as a coordinating state of the cyber defence of Ukraine were the topics discussed at the Romanian Supreme Defence Council meeting on Wednesday, President Traian Basescu has announced.

Gasic at NATO summit in UK

BELGRADE - A delegation of the Serbian Defence Ministry led by Minister Bratislav Gasic will attend as partners a NATO summit in Newport, the UK, which starts on Thursday.

According to a release from the ministry, the meeting, entitled NATO + 24 Parnters, will be used to promote the initiative for partner interoperability and the 2014-2015 Interoperability Platform.

Overhauled Version of Bulgaria's Outlook 2020 to Be Unveiled Wednesday

The government's Security Council has discussed amendments in a controversial report of the Bulgarian Defense Ministry outlining the upcoming reforms in the sector.

The document, called Outlook 2020: Bulgaria and NATO in European Defense, had to be overhauled as it contained the notion of "an informational war" with Russia in which it said Bulgaria is involved.
