Turkey discussed more aid trucks for Gaza with US Blinken

Turkey discussed increasing the daily number of aid trucks to at least 500 for Gaza with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Ankara, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday.

The top US diplomat took a positive approach on the issue during talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Erdogan said.

According to government information, the PM repeated Greece's condemnation of the Hamas terrorist attack and Israel's right to self-defense. 

Turkey tells Blinken that Gaza ceasefire needed urgently, source says

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told his US counterpart Antony Blinken on Monday that a ceasefire needed to be declared urgently in Gaza, a foreign ministry source said.

Following Fidan's talks with Blinken in Ankara, the source said Fidan had also told the US secretary of state that Israel had to be prevented from targeting civilians and displacing people in Gaza. [Reuters]
