Attica Regional Authority workers nabbed for bribery
Two employees of the Attica Regional Authority were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly accepting bribes.
The two men, responsible for hygiene checks on bars and eateries, were arrested after accepting marked banknotes from the owner of an establishment in Kapandriti, northern Attica.
Authorities did not give further details.

Supreme Court prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani on Wednesday ordered a probe into claims by inmates at Atticas Korydallos Prison that detention conditions are substandard and conducive to the spread of diseases.
Koutzamani asked Piraeus prosecutor Evangelos Zacharis to probe claims of an increasing number of cases of tuberculosis among inmates.
