Olympic champ Mete Gazoz nabs bronze medal in world cup
Olympic gold medalist recurve archer Mete Gazoz has won the bronze medal in the 2022 World Cup Final held in Mexico's Tlaxcala.
In the finals, the last of this year's open-air archery activities, eight athletes who were qualified for direct participation or thanks to points they earned during the year competed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared 22-year-old Mete Gazoz, a recurve archer who bagged a gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, an "idol" at a dinner ceremony held at the Presidential Complex in the capital Ankara.

"Mete has become an idol who will make archery to be loved by coming generations," he said.
Tokyo champion Gazoz sets eyes on Paris gold
Turkish archer Mete Gazoz, who won the gold medal in the Olympic individual event at the 2020 Tokyo Games, has said he next aims for a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Gazoz beat Italy's Mauro Nespoli on July 31 in the final to claim Turkey's first gold medal in Tokyo and the country's first-ever Olympic medal in the sport.

What makes him so confident is his points, his constant training, but also his ability to manage stress during the finals. Turkish archers break records in Poland
Turkish archers Mete Gazoz and Yasemin Ecem Anagöz broke two records Tuesday at an international archery tournament in the Polish city of Legnica.
Gazoz scored 686 points to lead the recurve men's qualification at the 2018 European Archery Championships. The previous record belonged to Italian archer David Pasqualucci with 685 points.

Turkish archer wins silver in world championships
Turkish recurve archer Mete Gazoz won the silver medal in the junior men’s World Archery Indoor Championships in the U.S. city of Yankton, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Feb. 19.
