Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva, who has served as Deputy Manager of the Audit Chamber, has been appointed by President Rumen Radev as the new acting Prime Minister. Grancharova-Kozhareva's career with the Audit Chamber began in 2015, where she has held various prominent roles, including several terms as deputy chairperson.

The report will not be made public until the audited institutions and individuals have given their comments, but court president Tomaž Vesel said that suspicion of criminal conduct had been detected.

Ljubljana – The Court of Audit has found that Banka Slovenije was only partly successful in its oversight of banks’ capital adequacy and the management of loan risks in 2008-2013. It also found it to be unsuccessful in introducing emergency measures during the bank bailout.

Without taking into account the preliminary investigation which started back in 2013, the investigation lasted for 5 years and 25 days.

The European Central Bank (ECB) appointed Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras chairman of the European bank's Audit Committee.

Stournaras had been elected member of the ECB's Audit Committee in September 2018.

In his new capacity he replaces Ewald Nowotny, former governor of Oesterreichische Nationalbank.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov ordered an audit at Sofia Airport to check the contracts for the supply of goods at the retail outlets and to analyze the receivables worth over 10,000 levs as well as the actions taken for their collection. This was reported by the department.
