32 suspects detained in Istanbul organized crime bust

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced the detention of 32 suspects allegedly linked to an organized crime network in Istanbul.

In a post on social media, Yerlikaya revealed that the arrests were made during operations conducted across several districts of Istanbul - Beşiktaş, Avcılar, Esenyurt and Kağıthane.

Istanbul apartment illegally subleased into 27-bed daily rental

In a unique scenario, a landlord has discovered that his apartment in Istanbul has been transformed into a 27-bed daily rental through illicit subleasing arrangements.

Rented to a foreigner with a Turkish residence permit through an allegedly unauthorized real estate agent, the three-room apartment in Avcılar district was subsequently subleased to another individual.

Emlak Konut plans to rake up Turkey’s property market

Turkey's real estate investment trust Emlak Konut GYO is poised to put about 35,000 houses on the market starting from the final quarter of this year, its CEO has said.

"We are planning to start selling [houses of] 12 new projects in Istanbul in the final quarter of this year," daily Hürriyet quoted Hakan Gedikli as saying on Sept. 25.
