Turkey beats Dominican Republic, set to face Australia in last 16
Turkey took second in Group C at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup after a 77-64 win over third placed Dominican Republic with OÄuz SavaÅ leading the way with 15 points.
The Turkish national team will face Australia in the last 16, who were beaten by Angola 91-83 but gave a rest to two of their top players, Joe Ingles and Aron Baynes.
Perfect Greece sees off Argentina too

The national basketball team finished top of its World Championship pool with a perfect record scoring its fifth win in as many games as it downed Argentina 79-71 on Thursday in Seville. Its next game will be in the round of 16 against Serbia.

Greek hoopsters go top of their group in World Cup

Greece has qualified to the second round of the FIBA World Cup after going top of its group of six through a third win in as many group games in Spain. On Monday it beat Puerto Rico 90-79 in Seville and is now eyeing a top-two finish in its pool.

Turkey spills sweat and blood to defeat New Zealand in FIBA Basketball World Cup
Turkish national basketball team started the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in fussy style after beating New Zealand 76-73 in Group C game in the Spanish city of Bilbao on Aug. 30.
The âTall Blacksâ were the dominating side in the first half of the game, which saw the Oceanian side grasping a double-digit lead at the end of the second quarter: 38-28.

Turkey to host young ballers at Pass It On camp
Some 200 young basketball players and 100 coaches from 75 countries will gather in Istanbul this week for the Pass It On basketball camp.
The seven-day camp at the DarüÅÅafaka Society is a project launched as part of the Turkish Basketball Federationâs (TBF) new social responsibility campaign.

Serbia's team win silver medal at U-18 European Championship
KONYA - The Serbian basketball team won a silver medal at the U-18 European Championship, after losing to the host team of Turkey 85-68 (25-11, 11-17, 32-18, 17-22) in the final match on Sunday evening.
The bronze medal went to the Croatian U-18 basketball team that defeated Greece 75-71 (11-19, 19-9, 24-24, 21-19).
