Two airplanes forced to land

Two commercial aircraft were forced to land at Makedonia Airport in Thessaloniki in northern Greece on Thursday. 

The first incident occurred at 2.50 p.m, when an aircraft of the Israeli airline El Al, operating the Prague-Tel Aviv route, had to land due to a passenger disturbing the crew.

BELGRADE - Air Serbia announced it was forced to temporarily suspend scheduled flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv from today due to the increasingly complex security situation in Israel.

In a statement, it said the next flight, scheduled for Sunday, had been cancelled as were all other flights until the end of November.

Air Serbia re-establishes direct flights to Tel Aviv

BELGRADE - After a hiatus of more than three years, Air Serbia re-established direct flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv on Thursday.

The national airline will be operating flights to Tel Aviv on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and four times a week from May 8, when it will also start flying to the Israeli city on Mondays.

BELGRADE - Air Serbia will commence direct flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv on April 6, the airline announced on Monday.

"Airbus A319 aircraft of the national airline will be flying between the capital of Serbia and Ben Gurion Airport three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays," it said in a statement.
