RUMA - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic on Tuesday attended a display of new arms and military equipment and devices that are in the final stage of testing before being included in the Serbian Armed Forces' arsenal.

The display took place at the Nikinci centre for testing new arms and military equipment.

The final phase of training of members of the Serbian Armed Forces with newly introduced weapons and military equipment is being held in the Pasuljanska Livada military complex.

The Defence Ministry has proposed a more ambitious development plan for the Slovenian Armed Forces under which the NATO target of spending 2% of GDP on defence would be reached by 2030, five years sooner than currently planned.

Britain's Royal Air Force said on Thursday Typhoons based in Romania were scrambled in response to Russian aircraft operating near NATO airspace over the Black Sea.

Romania is ranked first in NATO in terms of equipment expenditure as a share of defence expenditure, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's 2017 annual report, according to country's Ministry of Defence (MApN).
