Bulgarian President Radev Awarded Honorary Sign to Internationally Renowned Violinist Svetlin Russev

Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev received on 11th of February the world famous Bulgarian violinist Svetlin Russev on the occasion of his forthcoming joint concert with Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, reports BNT. 

During the meeting, the Head of state awarded Svetlin Russev with the Honorary Sign of the President.

Journalists union, media regulator condemn TV station bomb attack

Greece's broadcasting regulator, the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR) and the Athens Journalists' Union (ESHEA) condemned on Monday a bomb attack against the headquarters of Skai TV station and Kathimerini newspaper which they said targets pluralism and democracy.

Moldovan Media Freedom is in Jeopardy, Forum Warns

Freedom of the press is in danger in Moldova, Western diplomats, Moldovan journalists and experts said on Thursday at the Media Forum 2018, held in the capital, Chisinau.

Media freedom is already restricted, but the country's legislators are not interested in providing a better framework for an independent media to develop, speakers said.

Bulgarian Anti-corruption Commission Seeks to Seize Property of Former Minister of Economy

The Anti-Corruption Commission has requested the court to seize the property of Traicho Traikov, former Minister of Economy. The Commissione found that the he could not prove the origin of property at the value of BGN 2,372,004, reports BNT. 

Sofia City Court seeks seizure to the state, the Commission told BNT on 16th of November.
