Brussels stabbing attack

Police in Thessaloniki have arrested a 39-year-old male non-national in relation to the fatal stabbing of 49-year-old foreign man in Lagkadikia, a town outside the city, on Wednesday.

A police investigation found that the suspect, after an argument with the older man, attacked him with a folding knife and mortally wounded him.

The police received a call this morning, and when they arrived at the home of one of the victims, it was on fire.
The murder suspect also attacked police officers and injured two of them with a knife before being shot.
The attacker was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Local police said the suspect had been arrested.
As the Voice of America (VOA) reported this morning, there was an exchange of fire between the police and the suspect.
One police officer was among the injured.
