Restrictions will be imposed on flights from Italy and Spain as of midnight on Tuesday, Bulgaria's Transport Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced earlier today. Bulgarian nationals who wish to return from these countries by then should be aware that they would be quarantined.

Qatar Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Bulgaria Air and the first codeshare flights will operate on March 2, the national airline said on Tuesday. This was reported by the Qatari English-language Gulf Times.

The agreement will provide Bulgaria Air passengers with a "seamless connection" to destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

On June 2, the national air carrier Bulgaria Air launched scheduled direct flights to Valencia, Spain's third-largest city. The journey between Sofia and the magnetic city will be performed every Tuesday in the afternoon.

With more than three hours the flights from Sofia to Varna were postponed. The flight to Burgas was also postponed with several hours.

And there are currently non-scheduled flights.

Cyprus Airways and Bulgaria Air have entered into a codeshare partnership. Cyprus Airways' customers will be able to fly from Larnaca to Sofia through a codeshare agreement with Bulgaria Air. The agreement will allow Cyprus Airways to sell tickets under its own flight code between Larnaca and Sofia. Other routes will be added in future.
