Shocking video shows man being mauled to death by circus lion (graphic video)

Terrifying footage has emerged showing a circus trainer being mauled by a lion in a cage during a live show in Egypt. Islam Shaheen, 35, was filmed waving a stick at a lion while another lion is climbing up a ladder during his show in Alexandria. Then a third lion attacks the man savagely, leaving him with fatal injuries.

British cabaret-punk trio to play grotesque 'Hamlet' in Istanbul

British cabaret-punk trio The Tiger Lillies will be staging their ?Hamlet? show at the Zorlu Performance Art Center in Istanbul on Oct. 15, 16 and 17. 

The group?s show will be sponsored by the Danish Culture Institute, the Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation (?KSV) said in a press release. 

Week of Contemporary Circus at Bitef Theater

BELGRADE - Cirkusfera and Bitef Theater announced a series of shows, workshops and lectures to mark the Week of Contemporary Circus, April 23-28.

The event is aimed at raising public awareness of the significance of modern circus, street theater, physical and mental health, and lifelong learning, the organizers said in a release.

Parliament votes to lift parliamentary immunity of GD MP

The Greek Parliament has voted to lift the parliamentary immunity of Golden Dawn MP Artemis Matthaiopoulos to face charges of robbery.

During a vote Wednesday, 198 of the 203 deputies present backed the decision. Four MPs voted against and one present.

Matthaiopoulos denied the charges which he said are politically-motivated.
