SYRIZA shifts on diaspora vote
Following a session of its political secretariat Friday, the main leftist opposition SYRIZA party shifted position on New Democracy's initiative to grant full voting rights to diaspora Greeks, indicating that it could compromise on the basis of proposals made by the Communist Party (KKE) and the MeRA25 party of former leftist finance minister Yanis Varoufakis.

Greek Parliament approves probe into ex-minister
Greek MPs have approved the creation of a parliamentary committee to probe possible crimes committed by former alternate justice minister Dimitris Papangelopoulos in connection with the Novartis investigation.
The conservative proposal received 173 yes-votes, while 83 MPs voted against. The Greek Communist Party (KKE), Greek Solution and Mera25 abstained from the vote.
