ThPA reports fiscal year 2023 performance growth
Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (ThPA) has announced performance growth based on the financial results for the fiscal year 2023.
Following the approval of the Annual Financial Report from the Board of Directors on Wednesday, it announced that consolidated revenue for 2023 was increased to 85.9 million euros, from €85.3 million for 2022.

Major investment inaugurated at Koper port
Koper – A 100-metre extension to Quay I of the container terminal at the Koper port was inaugurated on Wednesday in what the port operator’s CEO said was a key strategic project that would allow Slovenia’s sole maritime port to preserve its leadership in container transshipment in the North Adriatic.

The British Police Seized Heroin Worth $145 Million
British police have seized nearly 1.3 tonnes of heroin hidden between towels in a container ship at the port of Felixstowe which is the United Kingdom's busiest container port, dealing with 48% of Britain's containerised trade. This was reported by DPA and France press reports.
The agency cites a statement issued today by the UK's National Organized Crime Unit.
Piraeus port owner Cosco to submit investment plan
Cosco, the Chinese-owned owner and operator of Piraeus port, is expected to resubmit its 800-million-euro investment master plan to the state Port Planning and Development Commission Friday.
The resubmission comes after the change in government and the dozens of obstacles the previous administration's decisions raised.

Cosco, spurred by container activity, posts 23 pct profit rise
Piraeus Container Terminal SA, a subsidiary of Chinese company Cosco Pacific which manages the container terminal facilities and operations at Piraeus port, achieved a 22 percent profit increase in the first half of the year, the parent company announced on Tuesday.

Union calls for strike at Cosco-controlled dock in Piraeus
A rare strike has been called at the container terminal at the main port of Piraeus run by Chinese shipping giant Cosco, a union official said.
A strike has been called until Monday by around 150 dock workers, Giorgos Georgakopoulos, head of the federation of Greek port employees (OMYLE), told AFP.
Big rise in Cosco’s container handling

The container handling activity of Chinese company Coscos local subsidiary in Piraeus posted an impressive 26.7 percent increase in the first half of the year compared with the same period of 2013, the firm announced on Tuesday.
