Boris Johnson Comes out with New Plans to Contain Coronavirus in Winter

British PM Boris Johnson is set to announce today how his government plans to control the coronavirus during the fall and winter, news wires reported. At a news conference he is expected to say that mask-wearing, work-from-home advice and social distancing rules that were lifted in July could return if cases climb.

Recovered-vaccinated-tested rule expanded to number of activities

Ljubljana, 4 September – The recovered-vaccinated-tested rule (PCT) will be expanded to a number of activities starting from Monday under a new government regulation that comes amidst rising numbers of coronavirus infections and hospitals filling up quickly with Covid-19 patients.

The Provincial Secretary for Health, Dr Zoran Gojkovi, said today for TV Prva that this project represents a huge support for health, because everything will be done in one place.
He also pointed out that this is an opportunity to hire new, young doctors and added that there is no doctor in Vojvodina registered at the unemployment office.

Pfizer Vaccine Becomes First to Receive Full FDA Approval

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given its full approval to the use of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine in the United States. Although the vaccine has been given so far, this has only happened with an "emergency" authorization.

The two-dose vaccine has met "the high standard of safety, efficiency and quality of production," said acting FDA director Janet Woodstock.

White House says 50% of Americans fully vaccinated against Covid

Half of the U.S. population is now fully vaccinated against Covid-19, the White House said on Aug. 6, as inoculations rise in response to the surging Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Vaccination of children could start soon

Ljubljana – The head of the national advisory group for Covid-19 vaccination, Bojana Beović, has said that following the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for children aged 12 or more, the group will recommend vaccinating children, especially children suffering from chronic diseases.
