Man receives aggravated life sentence in femicide case
The murderer of 20-year-old ballerina Ceren Özdemir was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment in the second hearing of Turkey's high-profile femicide case.
A psychiatric examination report of the suspect Özgür Arduç, 36, said that his abilities of mental abstraction and evaluating the reality were normal.
Six indicted in social security scam
Greek police said Tuesday they had unraveled a criminal gang that made false insurance policies for people around the country that enabled them to avoid paying social insurance contributions to the state.
The gang had reportedly been active since at least 2001 and police said the scams, which involved fake hirings by fake companies, cost the Greek state more than 15.5 million euros.

Protect Victims of Wartime Sexual Crimes, Serbia Urged
The Humanitarian Law Centre, a Belgrade-based NGO that represents victims in some war crime cases in Serbia, issued a policy paper on Monday calling on the Serbian judicial authorities to better protect victims of sexual violence during trials and investigations for crimes committed in the Yugoslav wars.
Gang of thieves nabbed by police
Police say they have arrested 18 members of a gang that committed multiple robberies, including some violent ones, in Athens.
The 18, all foreigners, were arrested Thursday.
Police say the gang included at least 20 more individuals.
