The Cycladic Art Museum in Athens presents "Cycladic Society," an exhibition showcasing more than 200 exhibits from the museum's permanent collection, as well as antiquities from the National Archaeological Museum, the Paul and Alexandra Kanellopoulos Museum and the archaeological museums of Naxos, Apeiranthos, Syros and Paros.

Robert McCabe: Witness to a changing country
Robert McCabe has witnessed many of the changes that Greece has experienced over the past 60 years. The acclaimed American photographer first arrived in this country in the mid-1950s with a Rolleiflex hanging on a strap around his neck, on a 10-day trip that proved so instrumental that he still shares his time between New York, Athens and the Greek island of Patmos.

Robert McCabe | Athens | March 19
The Cycladic Art Museum presents "Robert McCabe: Memories and Monuments of the Aegean," in parallel with the exhibition "Cycladic Society 5,000 Years Ago." The show, on display at the museum's Stathatos Mansion, is divided into two sections, with the first exploring Aegean life in the 1950s and 60s and the second focusing on 33 photos depicting archaeological sites located by the sea.

New Paros airport to be fully operational in mid-July
The new airport on the Greek island of Paros will be fully operational from July 16, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Christos Spirtzis announced on Wednesday during a visit.
The airport will be delivered for use on May 15, with a 2-kilometer runway and a 750-square meter terminal building.
Olympic Air has undertaken to cover half of the new terminal building's budget.
Artist Ai Weiwei to host first exhibition in Cycladic Art Museum in Athens
Prominent Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei will present his works created in his studio in Lesvos at the Museum of Cycladic Art, in Athens from May 20 to October 30, 2016.
This is the first time his work will be exhibited in an archaeological museum, the museum said in a statement.
International Symposium Cycladica in Crete

Athens Prehistory explored in international conference
An international conference on prehistory, titled “Athens and Attica in Prehistory”, is to take place in Athens from May 27-31. Events are split among venues such as Athens University, the American School of Classical Studies and the Cycladic Art Museum.

Thousands flock to Cycladic Museum's "Hygeia" exhibition
More than 50,000 people have visited the exhibition at the Museum Cycladic "Hygeia: Health, Sickness and Treatment from Homer to Galen," that kicked off at the Museum of Cycladic Art on November 19. The display, set to run until May 31, has already met with a great deal of interest.
Cycladic Museum poster competition for kiddies
The drawing competition for the poster Museum of Cycladic Art is taking place for the 3rd year in a row and gives young artists and culture buffs aged between 6 and 12 the chance to create a poster for the Museum's Educational Programs for 2015-2016. The main element of the poster will be the marble head of a Cycladic Idol (2800-2300 BC).
