Quake rattles Gulf of Laconia in southern Peloponnese

A quake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale rattled southeastern Peloponnese just before noon on Tuesday morning and was felt some 300 kilometers away in Athens.

The Geodynamic Institute put the epicenter 18 kilometers southeast of the coastal village of Gytheio and 54 kilometers from Sparta, while its depth was at 5 kilometers.

More than 100 People Suffered an Earthquake in Iran

At least 106 people have suffered an earthquake in the Iranian province of Boyer Ahmad and Kohgluie, said the head of the Emergency Medical Center in Jalal Puraranfar province, quoted by the BBC.

According to the US Seismological Center, the earthquake has a magnitude 5.3 on the Richter scale and is registered in southern Iran. The hearth is at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Earthquake in Topolovgrad

An earthquake measured 2.2 on the Richter scale is registered on the territory of Bulgaria near Topolovgrad.

The earthquake is registered at 9:40 am this morning with an epicenter 13 km southeast of Topolovgrad, according to the European Seismological Center. The depth of the earthquake is 7 km.

No evidence of any damages.

Powerful Earthquake off the Coast of Taiwan

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 happened today off the coast of Taiwan. There is no evidence of casualties and material damage, the local seismological service reported, TASS reported.

The quakes were felt in many settlements in the northeastern part of the island.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Pacific, 62 km off the coast, and 10 km deep under the seabed.
