Turkey, Russia, Iran to meet for 6th round of Astana process
Diplomats, army and intelligence officials from Turkey, Russia and Iran came together in Kazakhstan's capital a day before of the sixth round of Astana Process talks, which will be held in a bid to discuss the establishment of de-conflict zones inside Syria for cementing cease-fire in the war-torn country, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Sept. 13.
Cyprus gas deposit small, but hopes are high
Cyprus said Tuesday that a small gas deposit discovered off its southern coast was not enough to make it commercially viable, but added it was an encouraging sign given that the area's geological profile was similar to the one in neighboring Egypt where a huge discovery was made.

Gov't directs Syrian refugee children to Turkish schools
Syrian refugee children in Turkey are set to receive compulsory Turkish education, according to new regulations imposed by the Turkish Education Ministry, which has also decided that Syrian children should be directed to official schools.

Turkish Army opens fenced-off Famagusta beach exclusively to Turkish nationals & Turkish-Cypriots!
Turkish-Cypriot newspaper Yeni Duzen reported that access to a beach near the fenced-off town of Varosha is open only to Turkish nationals and Turkish-Cypriots showing identification.
According to the paper, Greek-Cypriots and foreign nationals are not allowed to enter.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Disappeared on Wednesday, TRUTH NOW repeated its call for the Republic of Cyprus to take all necessary measures for the ascertainment of the truth and restoration of justice.
The non-governmental organization also called on the government to provide guarantees of non- repetition of similar events and mistakes.
