Greece’s Lefteris Petrounias clinches Olympics bronze medal in men’s rings finals

Greek artistic gymnast Lefteris Petrounias has clinched the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics with a score of 15.200.

Chinese gymnast Liu Yang earned the gold medal with a score of 15.500 and You Hao, also of China won the silver with 15.300.

Petrounias clinches third championship title in a row

Greece's Lefteris Petrounias performs on the rings on the first day of the apparatus finals at the Gymnastics World Championships at Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar, where he clinched the gold medal. The 27-year-old won the world championship title in the rings, his third in a row, despite performing with a shoulder injury.

Petrounias shakes off injury to win another world title

Olympic champion Lefteris Petrounias won another world championship title in the rings on Friday in Doha to make it three in a row, even though he suffers from a shoulder injury.

The Greek gymnast scored 15,366 points in the final, scoring 266 points more than his nearest rival, Brazil's Arthur Zanetti.
