EBRD loans EUR 200mn to Serbia's power company EPS
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved an EUR 200 million restructuring line to EPS.
The bank is thus "supporting a comprehensive reform program for the power sector in Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), a state-owned utility that generates, distributes and supplies electricity across the country," a statement said.

EPS does away with directorates,halves number of departments
BELGRADE - Starting from May 1, there will be no more directorates at Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), and the number of departments has been reduced from 65 to 35 and 43 director positions have been abolished, Serbia's biggest public enterprise said in a release Wednesday.

BELGRADE -- An accident in the Kolubara strip coal mine, southwest of Belgrade, on Thursday left a worker dead, the company, RB Kolubara, has announced.
The 45-year-old, B.A., died in the Tamnava-West Field mine where he was working on assembling machines.

Gov't pledges to increase price of electricity by 15 pct
WASHINGTON- Under its latest arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Serbian government has pledged to support Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) in preparing a financial restructuring plan which, in combination with an excise tax, would result in a 15 percent total increase in the price of electricity for end consumers as of April 1, 2015.
