Police investigate cash-in-transit robbery in Dafni
Police are investigating a cash-in-transit robbery that took place in the Athens suburb of Dafni early Wednesday.
Police said the security guard was held at gunpoint by two men as he was about to load an ATM machine on Vouliagmenis Avenue.
The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No more information was immediately available about the incident.
Decision on Elliniko park cuts red tape on design, building permits
The first of the three joint ministerial decisions that will fast-track the big investment project at Elliniko, the former site of the Athens airport, was published in the Government Gazette on Thursday.
It concerns the Metropolitan Park, which will cover an area of 200 hectares - about a quarter of the total - of which about 40 will be built.
Greece to launch tender for Elliniko casino license on October 4
An international tender for a casino permit at the mixed-use investment in Elliniko will be launched in October 4, to meet the 35-day period envisaged by international legislation since the signing of the interministerial decision, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday.

Arsonists target bakery in Elliniko
Police in Attica on Tuesday were seeking the perpetrators behind an attempted arson attack Monday night on a bakery on Vouliagmenis Avenue in Elliniko, southern Athens.
The perpetrators poured a flammable liquid around the entrance to the business before setting it alight, damaging the facade.

The bidding process for the construction and operation of a casino on the site of the former airport at Elliniko, southern Athens, is expected to be completed at the end of September, with the government insisting there will be no deadline extension.
Southern Athens burglary ring busted
Police in Attica said on Wednesday that they have unraveled a gang of Georgian nationals that committed a series of home break-ins in southeastern Athens.
More specifically, officers of the DIAS motorcycle unit arrested three men, aged 37, 26 and 23, in the suburb of Glyfada on Sunday and police are looking for another three suspects.
