Coach crashes into utility pole in Paiania, driver slightly injured
A coach bus veered off the road and crashed into a utility pole on Lavriou Avenue in Paiania, eastern Attica, just before 6 a.m. on Monday.
The 57-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Athens' Evangelismos Hospital for treatment. No passengers were on board at the time of the incident.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Material taken from Tempe crash site to be analyzed

After four years, Evangelismos Hospital in downtown Athens operates without any Covid-19 cases, hospital director and board president Anastasios Grigoropoulos announced on social media on Thursday.

First stretch of tunnel on Metro Line 4 presented
Construction company AVAX Group gave a tour to press representatives on Thursday of the Katehaki metro tunnel, where work is being carried out for Line 4 of Athens metro.
The first 700 meters of tunnel has already been opened by the first of the two tunnel boring machines deployed. The final destination is Evangelismos station, in central Athens.

Evangelismos metro to steam ahead
People look at designs of future Athens metro stations. Closing the matter once and for all regarding the construction of the Evangelismos station on Line 4 of the metro at Rizari park in central Athens, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Nikos Tachias stressed on Wednesday that work will start and progress as it did with Exarchia. "No metro station will be abandoned," he said.

Court orders park impact study for metro station
Hellenic Metro will have to conduct a study to minimize the impact on Rizari Park by the construction of the Evangelismos station on Line 4 because the required technical environmental study it submitted last April has not been approved, according to a ruling by the Council of State.

Council of State freezes work on Evangelismos metro station
The Council of State has upheld a petition to suspend work on Evangelismos station of the Athens metro's extension until a proper technical and environmental impact report is filed.
