Anarchists barge into hospital to protest worsening healthcare
Members of the self-proclaimed anarchist group Rouvikonas barged into Evangelismos hospital in the district Kolonaki on Thursday noon to protest the worsening state of national healthcare and the deteriorating working conditions for doctors and workers.
Council of State greenlights Athens metro Line 4
Line 4 of the Athens metro, which will start in Alsos Veikou and run to Goudi in the center of Athens, can go ahead as injunctions against the project were rejected by the Council of State on Tuesday.

Culture minister lightly injured in car accident
Culture Minister Lina Mendoni was lightly injured in a car accident on Monday morning, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The accident happened at the corner of Mihalakopoulou and Kerasoundos streets in central Athens, when a vehicle crushed into the minister's car, injuring her and another passenger.

Woman dies after being hit by car on Patission
A 61-year-old woman who was hospitalized on Thursday in a critical condition after she and another female pedestrian were hit by a car while standing on a traffic island on busy Patission Street in Athens has died, doctors at the capital's Evangelismos Hospital said on Tuesday.
The woman died as a result of her injuries on Monday, they said.

Two pedestrians run over in central Athens
Two women were seriously injured on Thursday after being hit by a car while standing on a traffic island on the capital's busy Patission Avenue in the morning.
The exact circumstances of the incident remained unclear but the driver of the car in question was detained for questioning and an alcohol test.
The women were in the capital's Evangelismos Hospital on Thursday.

Four lightly injured by lightning on Acropolis Hill
Four people were lightly injured on Wednesday afternoon when lightning struck the Acropolis Hill during a thunderstorm, the Culture Ministry said.
The citadel's lightning rod was hit by a bolt and its impact smashed the windows of the ticket booths at the entrance to the ancient site, injuring two Culture Ministry employees and two tourists.
