Two-meter-long Ramadan pita sold by auction
A baker in the eastern province of Kars sold a 2.20-meter pita, with "Stay at Home Turkey" written on top of it using poppy and black seed prepared for the holy month of Ramadan.
Bakery owner Mustafa Kaya, who made the Ramadan pita with a dough weighing about 14 kilograms, said that he prepared such a thing in order to raise awareness to coronavirus measures.

Danish firm launches Turkish project to keep flatbreads fresh for longer
Danish enzymes maker Novozymes has invested in a new lab in Turkey to develop baking enzymes that help to prevent flatbreads traditionally eaten across the Middle East and Africa from going stale.

Turkish traditional flatbread enters UNESCO Intangible Heritage List
Turkey has entered the top 10 countries with the most items on the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List, with the addition of traditional flatbread during the 11th official meeting.
During the meeting in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, one national and two multi-national files were presented on behalf of Turkey.
