Kosovo's Bid For Council of Europe Membership in January 2018
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, said during Government's meeting on Friday that during this month or January 2018 at latest, Kosovo will submit its application for membership into the Council of Europe, Gazeta Express reported.

This was announced Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj.
Citing the website Lajmi, the agency reported that Hoxhaj said that if the request were submitted now, Kosovo could join the CoE "within two years."
He added that during that period, this institution "will mainly be chaired by countries that recognized Kosovo's independence."
