Fraport Greece increases turnover, profitability

Fraport Greece, which manages the country's 14 largest regional airports, saw its first-half turnover increase 37.4%, to €191 million, compared to the same period in 2022.

Operating profit (EBITDA) rose 25.3%, to €73 million. Passengers reached 11.8 million, of which 73% were international departures and arrivals.

Fraport’s 14 Greek airports drive strong holiday demand

Frankfurt Airpor operator Fraport on Tuesday said its 2023 core profit would hit the upper half of its forecast range after second-quarter earnings were boosted by strong travel demand. Among Fraport's international portfolio, its 14 regional airports in Greece benefited the most from holiday demand.

Fraport Slovenija to get new head in October

Ljubljana – Fraport Slovenija, the company managing the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, will get a new head next month, as the term of Zmago Skobir expires at the end of September. He will be succeeded by Babett Stapel, who is currently serving as managing director, Fraport Slovenija told the STA. Skobir will remain a procurator and adviser to the management.

Lufthansa: Seven new Greek destinations this summer

Lufthansa is more than doubling its itinerary in Greece with the addition of seven brand new destinations for this summer. From May 21, 2021, Aktio, Chania, Corfu, Kavala, Kos, Mykonos, and Zakynthos will welcome the German air carrier for the first time. This is Lufthansa's largest increase in its 62 years of presence in Greece.
