Turkish jets fly over Oinousses islands

A pair of Turkish fighter jets conducted an unauthorized flight over the eastern Aegean island cluster of Oinousses on Tuesday morning.

The violation of Greece's airspace was recorded at 10.27 a.m. and comes on top of a recent spate of such breaches.

The two F-16 jets flew at an altitude of 24,000 feet above the Greek islands.

Turkish jets enter Athens' FIR

A pair of Turkish fighter jets infringed on Athens' Flight Information Region (FIR) and flew over several Greek islands on the eastern Aegean on Wednesday.

The F-16s flew over the eastern coast of Samos at 12.52 p.m. and 12.53 p.m., the islets of Arki and Grylousa at 12.56 p.m., Lipsi at 12.57 p.m. and Farmakonissi at 12.59 p.m. at 27,000 feet.

Fresh Turkish overflights in eastern Aegean

Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets entered Athens' Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting a flight plan at 2.19 p.m. Thursday and flew over Oinousses, in the eastern Aegean, at 26,000 feet.

Two minutes later, the two jets flew over Panagia islet at 21,000 feet.

The Turkish aircraft were intercepted by Greek jets in line with international rules of engagement.

Turkish jets fly over Greek island of Ro

A pair of Turkish F-16 fighter jets flew over Greece's southeastern Aegean island of Ro on Wednesday without authorization.

According to an announcement from the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), the pair of jets flew over the tiny islet near Kastellorizo at 9.25 a.m. and 9.28 a.m. at an altitude of 14,000 and 13,500 feet respectively.

Turkish jets violate Greek airspace in southern Aegean

A pair of Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space on Thursday, according to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA), flying over the small island of Strongyli in the southern Aegean. 

The two Turkish F-16s entered the Athens Flight Information Region without first submitting a flight plan and flew over Strongyli at 24,000 feet at 2.33 p.m., GEETHA said.
