Unauthorized Turkish overflights continue in eastern Aegean

Turkish jets violated Greek airspace for the second day in a row on Thursday, with a pair of F-16 fighter jets entering Athens' Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting a flight plan and flying over the islets of Panaghia and Oinousses in the eastern Aegean, according to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA).

Turkish fighter jets fly over Chios, two islets

A pair of Turkish F-16 fighter jets on Thursday entered Athens' Flight Information Region (FIR) without sybmitting a flight plan and flew over the islets of Panaghia and Oinousses in the eastern Aegean, he Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA) said.

The jets entered Greek airspace at 9.55 a.m. and flew at 24,000 feet.

Turkish jets conduct multiple violations of Greek airspace

Two pairs of Turkish fighter jets flew over the Aegean islets of Ro, Farmakonisi, Leipsoi and Arkioi on Wednesday without authorization.

According to an announcement from the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), one pair of Turkish jets flew over the tiny islet of Ro at 1.03 p.m. and 1.11 p.m. at an altitude of 23,000 and 5,000 feet respectively.

Turkish F-16s fly over Greek islet

Six days after two Turkish fighter jets flew over the islet of Ro, in the eastern Mediteranean, a new pair of F-16s flew over it on Tuesday afternoon, the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA) said.

The fighter jets entered Athens' Flight Information Region at 4.52 p.m. without submitting a flight plan, flying at 10,000 feet.

Turkish jets conduct over 30 airspace violations

As a delegation of Turkish military officials arrived in Athens to resume confidence-building measures, Turkish fighter jets on Monday conducted a total of 34 violations of Greece's airspace.
Four pairs of Turkish F-16 and a CN-235 maritime patrol aircraft entered the Athens Flight Information region (FIR) without having previously submitted a flight plan.

Turkish fighter jets fly over Aegean islands, again

Turkish fighter jets carried out a fresh round of overflights over the Aegean on Wednesday morning.
In particular, at 10.03 a.m. a pair of F-16s flew over the southeastern island of Farmakonisi at 23,000 feet.
The aircraft conducted another overflight at 10.08 a.m. over Lipsoi at 8,500 feet and, four minutes later, over Agathonisi at an even lower altitude of 7,000 feet.
