Hague grants Goran Hadzic temporary freedom

THE HAGUE -- The Hague Tribunal has accepted the appeal filed by Goran Hadzic and granted him temporary release from custody.

Hadzic is a former political leader of Serbs in Croatia and has been indicted for war crimes committed in that country from 1991 until 1995.

Three weeks before the Milan Expo opens on May 1, the site of the showpiece event is still a mass of trucks raising dust and workers in hard hats racing to finish building after delays, graft and cost overruns. 

Ahead of a key meeting in Berlin, Germany has called upon Russia and Ukraine to move forward with the terms of the Minsk ceasefire accord.

"EU should openly say what it wants from us"

BELGRADE -- The European Union is "not yet sure what to do with itself, or what it would do with us," Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has been quoted as saying.

In an interview for the Belgrade-based newspaper Danas, he stated that the EU should "clearly say what it wants from Serbia."
