New poll shows ND leading by 2.8%

A new poll conducted by Rass on behalf of To Paron newspaper shows that main opposition party New Democracy is leading over SYRIZA by 2.8%.

Specifically, New Democracy receives 26.2%, while SYRIZA gets 23.4%.

Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and Golden Dawn come third with 6.4%, followed by Democratic coalition with 5.3% and Union of Centrists with 4.7%.

A new poll conducted by MRB on voting intention shows that main opposition party New Democracy leads by 3.7% over SYRIZA.

New Democracy received 26.9% followed by SYRIZA with 23.2%, Greek Communist party (KKE) with 6.6%, Golden Dawn with 6.5%, Democratic coalition / PASOK / DIMAR with 5.7%, Centers’ Union Party with 4.1% and Independent Greeks with 3%.

Metron Analysis poll: New Democracy leads over SYRIZA by 3.7%

The election of Kyriakos Mitsotakis as the new leader of New Democracy seems to have brought a change to the party.

According to a recent poll conducted by Metron Analysis, the main opposition party leads the way while SYRIZA comes second.

Leftist SYRIZA party was projected to have a higher probability of a national parliamentary election — the second in 2015 — in the recession-plagued euro zone country on Sunday, according to the first results released at 17.00 GMT.
A party needs approximately 36 to 40 percent of the vote for an outright majority (150+1) in Greece’s 300-MP Parliament.

Three more opinion polls results show cliff-hanger…

Three more opinion polls by … well-known polling companies were released on Thursday, with the first (by Metron Analysis) giving conservative New Democracy a razor-slim 0.3 percentage point lead over leftist SYRIZA, while another (by Alco) had the exact same difference, but with SYRIZA ahead – 25.3 to 25 percent for ND.

The third opinion poll (Pulse) shows a tie, at 28 percent.

Neck and neck battle, according to latest opinion poll

Alco polling company gives left SYRIZA a marginal 0.3% lead against conservative New Democracy (ND) in its newest poll published by news site ‘Newsit.gr’. According to the findings, SYRIZA received 25.3% of the vote, in comparison to New Democracy’s 25%, with extreme right nationalist party Golden Dawn coming in third with 6.2% of those polled saying they intended to vote for it.

An online poll conducted by three post-graduate students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the period August 31 – September 2 shows New Democracy leading by one point over SYRIZA.

According to the online survey, the Independent Greeks (ANEL) party fails to enter the Parliament.

The results of the new poll are the following:

SYRIZA 23.6%

Debate on Wed. as Greece heads into yet another … election

Wednesday will witness the first and only televised debate of the seven political leaders whose parties were represented in the outgoing Parliament, sans the ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn party.
The political “gab fest” will come days before the third time Greek voters are asked to cast their ballot in 2015.
