Kosovo PM Seeks More Backing From Germany
German leader Angela Merkel lent broad support to Kosovo's EU aspirations while urging it to continue talks with Serbia during the Kosovo Prime Minister's one-day visit to Berlin on Tuesday.
Chancellor Angela Merkel recalled that Germany had been one of the first states to recognise Kosovo's independence in 2008.

Serbia, Kosovo Sound Upbeat Over Brussels Talks
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said he was convinced that the progress made in Tuesday's latest Serbia-Kosovo talks in Brussels would enable Serbia to open the first chapters in the EU accession process by the end of the year.

Kosovo Parliament Demands Ex-PM Haradinaj's Release
The Kosovo parliament passed a resolution on Thursday asking for the return of wartime Kosovo Liberation Army commander turned political party leader Haradinaj, who was detained at Slovenia's Brnik Airport on a warrant issued by Serbia and Montenegro in 2004.

Leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj will be brought before a Slovenian court at 18:00 hours CET on Wednesday.
The Pristina-based website koha.net is reporting that the former KLA commander was arrested earlier in the day on a 2004 Serbian warrant.
Kosovo Opposition Vows to Halt War Crimes Court
The opposition parties, who are against the planned new EU-backed special court because they believe KLA fighters were heroic liberators who should not be prosecuted, vowed on Monday to try to block an expected vote in parliament which would enable it to be established.

US General Rallies Kosovo For Fight Against Islamists
General John Allen visited Kosovo on Thursday, meeting top officials on a mission to strengthen cooperation within the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, of which Kosovo is a part.
President Atifete Jahjaga said in a meeting with the US General that mainly Muslim Kosovo was determined "never to become a haven for terrorist groups or a source of extremism".
Kosovo FM Accused of Interfering With Justice
Dutch ambassador Robert Bosch told newspaper Kosovo Sot on Thursday that Thaci's claim that the verdict convicting the ex-guerrillas was politically motivated was inappropriate.
"Officials should never comment on the decision of the court," said Bosch.
