After nearly two decades of effort, Elon Musk's aerospace company, SpaceX, successfully launched its first two people into orbit, ushering in a new age of human spaceflight in the United States.

SpaceX pressed ahead with its second attempt to launch astronauts for NASA- a historic first for a private company- but more stormy weather threatened more delays.

Elon Musk's company came within 17 minutes on May 27 of launching a pair of NASA astronauts for the first time in nearly a decade from the U.S., before the threat of lightning forced a delay.

NASA gave the green light on May 22 to next week's launch of two astronauts aboard a SpaceX vessel- the first crewed space flight from U.S. soil in nine years and a crucial step towards ending American dependence on Russian rockets.

SpaceX successfully launched its latest cluster of high-speed internet satellites into orbit on Feb. 17 but was unable to land its rocket booster on an autonomous ship, missing a key milestone.    

He is ready to transport them with his spacecraft

Elon Musk revealed his plans for the exploration of Mars - he is ready to transport 1 million people with his spacecraft, Business Insider and BGNES reported.

The founder of the space company said that by 2050 he wants to organize the construction of a city of Mars for 1 million people.

Yusaku Maezawa, who recently announced his break-up with a Japanese actress, is accepting applications from "single women aged 20 or over" who want to enjoy life to the fullest.    

Japan's billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is giving away $ 9 million to his Twitter followers to see if the money will make them happier, Reuters reported.
He describes his initiative as a "social experiment".

Maezawa will give one million yen ($ 9,000) to 1,000 of his followers. They will be randomly selected from those who retweeted a Jan. 1 post.

SpaceX launched 60 more mini internet satellites late on Jan. 6, this time testing a dark coating to appease stargazers.

It's a "first step" compromise between SpaceX and astronomers fearful of having dark skies spoiled by hundreds and, eventually, thousands of bright satellites circling overhead.
