Turkey issues three Navtexes covering large parts of Aegean
Turkey on Tuesday issued three navigational telexes (Navtex) covering large swathes of the Aegean Sea, saying it is in response to Greece's militarization of the eastern Aegean islands of Chios, Samos, Samothrace, Lemnos, Ikaria and Patmos.
Six villages in Ikaria temporarily evacuated due to blaze
Six villages on the North Aegean island of Ikaria were evacuated for several hours during the night as a wildfire fanned by northerly winds threatened to reach the settlements.
On Thursday morning, the municipality of Ikaria lifted the evacuation order.
More than 120 migrants rescued in east Aegean on Monday morning
Greek coast guard officers located and rescued 121 migrants and refugees in two separate incidents in the eastern Aegean Sea on Monday morning.

Police say body discovered in Ikaria belongs to missing Briton
Greek police confirmed Wednesday that a body found at the bottom of a ravine at the Aegean island of Ikaria belongs to the British scientist who went missing while on holiday.
The ravine is located near the rented rooms where the woman was staying with her 38-year-old boyfriend. No further details were provided by police.
