Bahçeli extolls 'Türkiye's progress' on republic's centennial

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has asserted that the Turkish Republic, as it approaches its centennial celebration, has undergone significant development.

"By walking in the footsteps of the past, the bright days of today and the future will definitely be achieved," Bahçeli said during his party's parliamentary meeting on Oct. 24.

Bahçeli invites İYİ Party to ally in upcoming local elections

Devlet Bahçeli, the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), a part of the ruling People's Alliance, has extended an invitation to the İYİ (Good) Party for collaboration in the upcoming year's municipal elections.

The İYİ Party was founded by defectors from the MHP, expressing their dissent over Bahçeli's cooperation with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).

One may or may not like Turkey’s rulers, but you must be fair and admit that they are often fun – unless they do serious things and cause harm. They live in a world of wonders which, for us outsiders, is truly amusing to observe.
