Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Aug. 28 that Iran is building sites to produce precision-guided missiles in Syria and Lebanon, with the aim of using them against Israel.

An Iranian government official claimed earlier this week that its Russian-made air defenses were compromised by Moscow, leaving Iran and its allies defenseless against Israeli airstrikes.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted several strikes inside Syria on March 16, prompting Syrian forces to retaliate with ground-to-air missiles.
