Killer of Hrant Dink appeals to testify in 'criminal organization' leg of case
The triggerman who shot dead Turkish-Armenian journalistHrant Dink almost nine years ago has appealed to present his testimony as part of the "criminal organization" leg of the case into the murder. The assassin Ogün Samast has also asked to be transferred to a prison in Istanbul near to where the case is being held.

US Treasury Secretary says to support yuan in IMF basket: Spokesperson
U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew told senior Chinese officials on Sunday he would support adding the renminbi currency to the basket on which the International Monetary Fund's SDR unit is based, if it meets the IMF's criteria, Lew's spokesperson said.
Lew met with China's vice premier and finance minister on the sidelines of the G-20 leaders meeting in Turkey, the spokesperson said.

Turkey's Erdo?an says interest rates too high to encourage investment
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an renewed his call for lower interest rates on Nov. 15, saying they were too high to encourage investment and entrepreneurship, an argument likely to unnerve investors already worried about central bank independence.
Erdo?an has repeatedly called for lower rates to spur growth, equating higher financing costs with treason.
Erdo?an meets Obama ahead of G-20 Summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has met with U.S. President Barack Obama to hold a bilateral discussion ahead of the G-20 Summit starting Nov. 15 at the Belek resort of Antalya.
The meeting started at Regnum Hotel at 10:40 a.m., just a few hours after Obama's Air Force One landed at Antalya Airport at 7 a.m.

Turkey's first light festival, which started on Nov. 13 at Istanbul's Zorlu Center, will continue through Nov. 29.
More than 20 world-renowned light artists will be contributing to the festival curated by Rebecca Mendez, the head of the Media Art Department at the Los Angeles-based university, UCLA.
