By laying wreaths and flowers, the Croatian State Summit and representatives of Jews, Serbs, Roma and anti-fascists living in Croatia, today paid tribute to the victims of the Ustasha Jasenovac concentration camp in World War II.
Croatia Remembers WWII Concentration Camp Victims
Several hundred people including top Croatian politicians gathered on Sunday at the monument to the Jasenovac victims to lay wreaths and attend a memorial service.
“At this site, a crime that was genocide was committed and it will always be painful and we will never forget it,” Croatian President Ivo Josipovic told the ceremony.

Josipovic: Evil should be called out so it is not repeated
JASENOVAC - A commemoration marking the 69th anniversary of a breakout by the prisoners of the Ustasha concentration camp Jasenovac was held on Sunday, and Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said genocide had occurred at that location and that it should never be forgotten.
